PRAYTELL WHO TRIED TO SPREAD FAKE NEWS ABOUT THE PAPAL MC NOW SEEMS TO BE HAVING HEART PALPITATIONS

My comment: the reforms carried out through the wishes of Vatican II? REALLY? Has the editor read Sacrosanctum Concilium? If he had, he would know that the reforms of the Mass were Bugnini's wishes which supplanted SC--a liturgical blog should not make up fake news!

Guido Marini Reconfirmed as Papal MC?

Italian sources had claimed to know that Guido Marini, master of ceremonies for Benedict XVI who was retained by Francis, was about to be removed and given care of some Marian shrine. His replacement was to be a disciple of Piero Marini (no relation), the progressive liturgical figure who was secretary to Annibale Bugnini, the architect of the liturgical reforms carried out according to the wishes of the Second Vatican Council.
But now a certain Gianluca Barile tweeted on December 5 that Guido Marini has been confirmed in office by Pope Francis.
Pray Tell will report when more is known.

Who cares. At this point keeping or firing Guido Marini is the least important thing going on in the Vatican.

Let’s see what may be more important.

1. Why is there a homoerotic nativity scene in St. Peter’s square.

2. Why are the dubia not answered.

3. Why is Francis hell bent on permitting adultery and sacralegious communions.

4. Why is the notion of women being ordained to Holy Orders (deaconate) even considered. Would we hold a commission to discuss whether there are 2 or 3 or 4 persons in the Trinity or if racism is permissible in certain circumstances.

5. Why is Francis callin* the Reformation a work of the Holy Spirit.

6. Why is Francis extolling Martin Luther, a man who said filthy things about Our Lady and taught heresy and HATED the papacy.

I think keeping some MC who goes along with a man who is trying to turn his own personal opinions into some kind of revelation directly from the Holy Spirit does not matter AT ALL.

His Holiness Pope Francis has followed the path that his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI, had cleared in regard to Catholic-Lutheran relations.

Pope Benedict XVI declared the following in regard to Martin Luther:

https://w2.vatican.va/content/benedict-xvi/en/speeches/2011/september/documents/hf_ben-xvi_spe_20110923_evangelical-church-erfurt.html

"What constantly exercised him was the question of God, the deep passion and driving force of his whole life’s journey. “How do I receive the grace of God?”: this question struck him in the heart and lay at the foundation of all his theological searching and inner struggle. For Luther theology was no mere academic pursuit, but the struggle for oneself, which in turn was a struggle for and with God.

“How do I receive the grace of God?” The fact that this question was the driving force of his whole life never ceases to make a deep impression on me.

******* "Luther’s thinking, his whole spirituality, was thoroughly Christocentric:" *******

"It was the error of the Reformation period that for the most part we could only see what divided us and we failed to grasp existentially what we have in common in terms of the great deposit of sacred Scripture and the early Christian creeds.

"For me, the great ecumenical step forward of recent decades is that we have become aware of all this common ground, that we acknowledge it as we pray and sing together, as we make our joint commitment to the Christian ethos in our dealings with the world, as we bear common witness to the God of Jesus Christ in this world as our inalienable, shared foundation."

I am unable to locate Pope Francis' supposed declaration that the Reformation is the work of the Holy Spirit. Please cite that comment from Pope Francis. Thank you.

I found the following:

Pope Francis desires that? No.

His Holiness Pope Francis has, time and again, exhorted Catholics to go to Confession. Pope Francis has called Catholics repeatedly to embrace Jesus Christ and holiness.

Pope Francis does not promote "adultery and sacrilegious communions."
